Is there actually a way to get a free e-cig starter kit?

Question by Steve: Is there actually a way to get a free e-cig starter kit?
Having trouble separating the real from the b.s. on this electronic cigarette thing. I there a company, website, etc. that really does offer you a trial kit. If so could you please list them for me. Thank you.

It’s not a scam. I did it and cancelled and they never charged my account, they also have a customer service number that someone really answers!.

NOTHING is ever free, just as a general rule.

I think it was smoking anywhere that had a lot of problems with this, but i saw it on other sites as well.

They are offering you a “free” sample kit. Problem is you have to pay shipping or some crap like that. The next problem, is that in the fine print, in order to get the free sample kit, what you really sign up for is their auto renew/reship program. The kit gets you started, and then every week, or 2 weeks or month or whatever their schedule is, they will ship you out more ejuice, along with charging your credit card.

More reputable companies make it clearer that is whats happening, sleazier companies bury it in tons of fine print they know no one will read. But LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of comapnies do it. That format is what a lot of these texting ads you see on tv are doing as well.

You text, get a free chance to enter or a coupon or take a quiz and get the results by text, or personals texting, etc. Initially its a free trial, but you have to cancel the free trial before it auto renews.

If you are looking for an inexpensive way to try ecigs, find the model or brand you like, and just buy one battery, one small usb or wall charge, one pack of cartridges in a flavor you think you will like (there are sample packs, or get a set of blank cartridges and look for a sample pack of ejuice…. refilled ejuice seems to be better than prefilled cartridges).

The pro here is that if you dont like it, you didnt just waste 100-200 or more on supplies. The con here is that if you do like it, you still need to order more for a full set up. For a full set up, you need multiple batteries, several bottles of juice and a few packs of refillable cartrdiges, plus whatever other charges or accessories you may want.

I spent the most money trying to find a flavor i liked. I imagined i would like flavors i associated with smoking, such as coffee or chocolate or whatever. They were all nasty. I liked the fruity flavors and menthol the best. NONE of the tobacco flavors will taste like your fav cig. And in most cases, artifical food flavoring is what is used for the flavors, so keep that in mind. For example, I LOVE strawberries, but the smell and taste of artifical strawberry flavoring makes me vomit – so did strawberry ejuice.

the ecig message forums should have tons of advice as well.

In the end….. I loved the total concept of ecigs. I stepped down my nic dosage pretty fast and was using 0 nic in the first couple weeks.

But, the technology wasnt very good. The batteries are shoddy electronics at best. There isnt a fool proof way to know when the cartridge is out other than keep puffing until you start burning the inards.
    I had problems refilling accurately.

    I went back to smoking.
That was about a year ago, and i am totally smoke free now. I imagine there have been improvements made in a year, but since i am totally smoke free im not overly interested in trying the ecigs again.
